Frequently Asked Questions

We understand you want the best flags, as quick and stress free as possible. Our mission is to supply the quality you deserve at low costs! Here are some commonly asked questions to help you order and make decisions!

I never bought a mic flag before! How do I place an order?

Once you decide you’re ready to order, you can proceed to our shop page. Choose which size you’d like to proceed with, enter the quantity you need and upload your artwork. Add to your cart and proceed to checkout!

Once you complete the checkout process, you will get an email confirming your order with a digital proof for your approval. This email will come from orders@onairmicflags.com. We will not proceed with any order until we receive a response to this email approving the proof. This is also a time for you to request any changes to your order!

What kind of artwork do I upload?

Don’t get hung up on setting up your file, we can handle almost any type of file. To make things easier, we have templates setup for you to insert your logo. If the artwork you upload will not print well, we’ll let ya know.

The files for best printing are vector files, typically .EPS, .AI or .PDF. We can accept JPGs & PNGs, but are unable to make modifications to those.

If a specific color is required, please provide PMS colors in the notes and we will get as close as possible.

What size frame should I choose?
We get questions about frame size a lot. The sizes listed are the sizes of the panels themselves. For example, the 2.50 x 2.50 cube mic flag has four 2.50” square panels.

We usually recommend a size based on what your logo looks like. If your logo is more rectangular, our 3.50 x 2.00 triangle, or 3.00 x 2.00 rectangle flag works best. If it is long, our 4.75 x 1.50 triangle flag works best, and if it is square, we recommend our cube flags.

Will your mic flags fit my microphone?

Our flags fit all standard handheld microphone diameters. We’ve tested our mic flags on some of the most popular handheld microphones out there and we’ve failed to find one that doesn’t fit! They have a foam insert on the inside that expands to the width of the mic pretty generously. The opening is a 1.25″ diameter circle and foam is inserted that can fit tight around thin bases.

If your mic is wider than usual or if you will be using multiple microphones in the same flag we typically recommend Rycote style mic flags. These flags have interior removable rubber veins that allow larger mics to go through easier. These flags also are made to hold up better to the wear and tear of microphone

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not make mic flags specifically for studio microphone setups.

I have an event date! When will I receive my mic flag?

We take pride in having the fastest turnaround time in our industry. Once you complete your order and proceed to the checkout page there will be options for expedited shipping with expected delivery dates. Choose the shipping method that will get you your flag before your event date. Please be sure to add the date the mic flags are required in the notes section, if there is an event date,

If the event date is sooner than the dates given on the website, please contact us!

I'd like to see my logo on a flag before I make a purchase, can I do that?
Absolutely.

Send and email to info@onairmicflags.com with your artwork and you’ll receive a digital mockup of what your logo would look like within 2 business days.
